F20 On A Duet Washer

image

F20 is the code that the machine flashes up when it does not sense water entering. This can be a bad valve, or the water source turned off or even the flood stop hoses that some people use. In this case it was a poorly routed pressure switch hose. The hose was routed in a way that allowed it to rub against the back of the tub. It took 2 years but it finally rubbed a hole through the hose which meant that the pressure was being released and so the pressure switch kept calling for water.

A new hose routed properly and all is up and running again.

Just fixed my machine. Hot water hose had a kink but also the little vaccum hose on the sensor had popped off which is what i think was happening because all along my machine was filling up with water…too much ! Thanks so much for the help!

Jeff – I’m not exactly sure what you are looking for, but any appliance part supplier should be able to look up part numbers and supply the correct factory authorized part you are looking for. If you want to find your own supplier by specific specs, that I really can’t help you with.

Would be nice if you guys would go ahead and tell us the exact size (diameter) and type hose needed – appears to be a type easily gotten from Lowes or Home Depot.

Along with that, I would be interested to know the hose type, thickness, etc. for the one leading from the “Detergent / Softener” dispener to the ‘flow control valve’ (not sure of the name of that device, but it was listed as related to ‘flow control’).

The hose is in 2 pieces, on either side of that flow control device, like so:

Deterg Dispenser [Thick short hose, Piece #1] Flow Valve [Thick short hose, Piece #2]

Thanks for any specs / details on the hoses.
